Welcome to the biggest day of the year here at South Causey Inn. We have two sittings available - 12pm or 1.45pm. Santa Claus will be visiting with presents for all - and a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long.

In order to book it is necessary to give a £10 non-refundable deposit, a pre-order deposit, a pre=order and full payment is required by 1st December.

Starters
 
Homemade vegetable broth with an assortment of pulses and barley with rustic roll and butter
 
Homemade chicken liver pate with spiced pear and red onion marmalade with chunks of farmhouse bread, dressed rocket and Balsamic Vinegar with roasted Vine Toamtoes
 
Cold seafood delight consisting of roasted salmon, giant Crevettes, King Prawns, Trout Pate, Mussels and Spiced Crab with 3 dipping sauces and rocket salad 
 
Melon balls, marinated with mint and mulled wine dressed with home made orange water ice with strawberries
 
3 types of mushrooms pan fried with fresh garlic, paprika and white wine splashed with brandy and cream topped with a light pastry horn
 
Tiger prawns coated with light breadcrumbs and coconut, nestled upon a rocket and ginger salad, with an orange and chilli dipping sauce sprinkled with pine nuts and coriander
 
Main Courses
 
Traditional roast turkey with chestnut stuffing and all the trimmings
 
Fillet steak rolled with peppercorns all served medium or well done and cascaded with a Jack Daniels Cream Sauce
 
Salmon wrapped with sole, topped with pan fried King Prawns and a Champagne and Dill cream sauce
 
Fillet of pork filled with figs and wrapped with Palma Ham, roasted and topped with a mushroom and Marsalis cream sauce
 
Half roast duck cooked golden brown with a compote of plums and figs flashed with a Cointreau Jus
 
Braised vegetable and goats cheese tartlet, circled with a rocket and roasted vine tomato glaze
 
Sweets
 
Vanilla crème brulee served with homemade biscuits, fruit and chocolate dipped strawberries
 
Xmas pudding and Rum custard
 
Braised pears with mulled wine and rich vanilla crème anglaise with lemon scented marscapone cheese

Baileys bread and butter pudding circled with warm chocolate sauce and accompanied with a fudge ice cream and brandy snap curl
 
A large homemade hazelnut meringue filled with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries laced with warm caramel toffee sauce and chocolate dipped strawberries
