Welcome to the biggest day of the Christmas calendar here at South Causey Inn. Your table can be booked at 12 p.m., 12.30 p.m., 1.00 p.m., 1.30 p.m. & 2.00 p.m. and is yours for the day, until closing at 5 p.m. Santa will visit with presents of course!
 
YOUR STARTERS
Home made vegetable broth with an assortment of pulses and barley, rustic roll and butter
Home made Game pate with spiced pear and red onion marmalade, chunks of farmhouse bread, dressed rocket and Balsamic Vinegar with roasted Vine Tomatoes
Cold seafood delight consisting of roasted salmon, giant Crevettes, King Prawns, Trout Pate & Mussels with 3 dipping sauces and rocket salad
Garlic Prawns on bruscetta with garlic, white wine & chillis
Northumberland Cheese with Wild Mushrooms Ragout, a selection of wild mushrooms gently fried with fresh garlic, pesto & a splash of wine and cream & bound together with our Nettle Cheese topped with foxy flaky pastry
 
YOUR MAIN COURSES
Traditional roast turkey with chestnut stuffing and all the trimmings
Fillet steak cooked medium topped shallots with pancetta, wild mushrooms in a tarragon & white wine jus served with baby roasted garlic potatoes
French trimmed Loin of Pork rested on roasted calvados apples, circled with a cider, thyme & cream sauce
Whole Wild Mallard served with a whisky, marmalade & honey jus
Salmon wrapped in sole, poached and topped with a King Prawn & a dill white wine cream sauce
Roasted Vegetable Kebabs served on Moroccan style spiced rice with a pot of roasted peppers & vine tomato salsa
