Riding Courses and Holidays

South Causey offer Riding Courses in the form of Saturday and Sunday Clubs each weekend.  Young riders come along for the day and take part in two riding lessons, stable management lectures and practical sessions – all for £25 per day. During these days, we are working through the syllabus set out by the British Horse Society, which is designed to offer riders a comprehensive guide to the care and management of horses and ponies.

We also offer Riding Courses during school holidays throughout the year. During these courses (which are available for days or weeks), we also take picnic rides, gymkhanas, play Horseball and pony games, as well as looking after your own pony for the day! 

Senior and more advanced riders can take part in other courses, such as those aimed at examinations, BHS Riding and Road Safety Tests and training and specialist courses aimed at improving jumping or dressage, taken by freelance Instructors and experts in their own field.
