SHOW RULES

  1. All exhibitors who wish to exhibit in the National Pot Leek Society show must be fully paid up members of the society before 1st June 2010.  Entries are free.
  2. In the North East Horticultural Society Championships entries are restricted to two per exhibitor per class.
  3. Entry fees to the North East Horticultural Championships will be 50p per entry.
  4. Entry forms are to be forwarded to the show secretary on or before 10th September 2010.  Entries may be accepted on the day of benching provided there is sufficient space available on the discretion of the show secretary and stewards.
  5. Exhibitors will be able to access the venue between 3.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on Friday 17th September 2010 in order to bench their entries.  Once exhibitors have staged their entries they will not be moved other than by a show steward.
  6. The handling of exhibits, once judged, is strictly forbidden.
  7. All exhibits to be staged and judged in accordance with the guidelines set out by the National Pot Leek Society, The National Vegetable Society, The National Chrysanthemum Society and The National Dahlia Society apart from the heaviest Onion, Leek, Marrow and Cabbage classes.
  8. All flowers and vegetable varieties are to be named on the cards provided.
  9. The base of each onion staged must not be more than 150mm above the table.
  10. Only judges, show officials and stewards will be allowed in the show area during judging.
  11. No exhibit in any section will be lifted for any reason before 1.30 p.m. on Sunday 19th September.
  12. Exhibitors are encouraged to leave exhibits in order that they may be auctioned for charity at the end of the show.
  13. The Judges' decisions are final.
