WELCOME TO SOUTH CAUSEY LAKES

A friendly well managed and informative fly fishery open to all novice and pro fly fisher men and women alike.

Feel free to come and ask for help as it will be given gladly.

South Causey Lakes is undergoing an extensive development programme a new 2 acre lake opens on March 12th. The lakes are stocked with well conditioned hand graded Rainbow, Golden, Blue and Brown Trout.

Fish are stocked to 18lb, average fish size is 2.5 to 3lb.

Top of the water activity on an evening is outstanding with hatches of olives, sedge and midge.

The lakes are well maintained and the trout are some of the best hard fighting fish, pound for pound.

We have an Ex-House of Hardy Casting Instructor on site for tuition at anytime.

We have rods, reels, line and flies for sale.  Fly tying instruction onsite twice per week. 

In keeping with protecting as much wildlife and nature as possible, we have recently planted Epipactis Gigantea orchids along our lake banks.  This plant grows in wet areas in a variety of habitats.
