CIVIL WEDDINGS AT SOUTH CAUSEY INN
Couples seeking to be married at South Causey Inn are required to give Notice of Marriage to the Superintendent Registrar at:
Stanley Register Office,
7 Thorneyholme Terrace,

County Durham.

Please note that couples are also required to give notice to the Superintendent Registrar for the Registration District in which they live. The marriage couple will be responsible for booking and paying the fees for the attendance of these registration staff.
The Civil Ceremony must be held between the hours of 10.00 and 16.00.
Any readings, music or performance that forms part of the Civil Marriage Ceremony celebrated at South Causey Inn must be non-religious in content. Please ask the Superintendent Registrar for further details.
No food or drink ( including alcohol ) may be served or consumed in the room where the wedding takes place for one hour prior to the ceremony, or during the ceremony itself.
The areas approved for the celebration of Civil Marriages are The Shafto Suite, The Beamish Suite and The Snug.
The general public cannot be excluded from any Civil Marriage Ceremony.
Room Hire Charges: Beamish Suite £100.00, Shafto Suite £200.00. Please note room hire charges will not applicable should you choose to have your Civil Ceremony at the South Causey Inn.
There is a £100 Room Hire Charge for Civil Ceremonies in the Beamish Suite and The Snug and a £200 Room Hire Charge for the Shafto Suite.
