Terrarium Workshop, with Afternoon Tea

South Causey Inn, County Durham

What is a Terrarium you ask?

Terrariums are miniature gardens, housed inside small, and usually sealable containers like bottles and jars. As fully functioning plant ecosystems, they’re mostly self-sustaining, with the plants watering themselves through transpiration and condensation!

Fancy creating your own indoor plant terrarium? Join us at our Terrarium Workshop at South Causey Inn on Sunday, 9th October 2022. Our guest instructor 'Queen of Green' will tell you all about these fascinating self-contained ecosystems, with a brief introduction to the origins and science behind Terrariums.

Then, you will be taken through a step-by-step workshop showing you how to build and plant your own closed Terrarium, with aftercare advice at the end of the workshop to ensure your Terrarium thrives in your home!

After you've got stuck in (pardon the pun) and completed the workshop, your hands can be washed, and then you will head to the beautiful Farmhouse for a well-deserved Afternoon Tea with free-flowing tea and coffee.
