The Old Barn & St. Cuthberts Suite

The Old Barn is separate from the main hotel and is a truly splendid space for celebrations. With wooden floors, original beams, and classic features, this beautiful venue is spacious enough for 200 guests and has a separate area for hosting wedding ceremonies.

The Barn also has a designated area for parking, a stunning private bar area, and a private garden where guests can enjoy drinks and canapés while taking breathtaking photos against the backdrop of the Beamish Valley.

The Durham Suite & Tanfield

Our spacious and elegant Durham Suite was once a stone stable block and has been sensitively converted into a bright, beautiful space that is ideal for hosting all manner of celebrations. Seating up to 150 guests banquet style, the Durham Suite is flooded with natural daylight and has access to a stunning private garden plus an outdoor 'Tipi Style' seating area with heaters and fur throws available.

The Durham Suite also has a designated car park and is conveniently located near the courtyard bedrooms, so it is easily accessible to guests.

Our Tanfield is our civil ceremony room for the Durham Suite. With elegant, chapel-style interiors, this suite is the perfect setting for you to start your new life together. Perfect for hosting any number of guests from 25 to 100, the Durham Suite is next to both the Tanfield ceremony room and private Cobbles Bar with easy access for guests.

The Beamish Barn

The Beamish Barn is our smaller event space - perfect for more intimate weddings and celebrations of up to 45 guests. The Beamish Barn boasts original wooden beams, rustic wooden floors, natural lighting, and a roaring log fire.
